Blackpool Sealife Centre
Hold your breath for a deep-sea adventure
Blackpool Sealife Centre is an underwater paradise for hundreds of marine animals and freshwater dwellers, and of course, an exciting journey to the bottom of the sea for any little aquanaut!
The attraction houses over 50 individual displays of fish, crustaceans and water dwelling mammals, including the stunning mesmerising jellyfish in Phantom of the Deep and Serpents of the Sea, the only collection of deadly poisonous sea snakes currently on display in the UK.
The Blackpool Sealife Centre offers you the chance to assist in some of their extensive conservation work by observing the vast numbers of seahorses on display and recording which of them interact with each other. The research aims to confirm of dispel the myths that these beautiful creatures
mate and remain loyal for life.
For a truly underwater experience, head for the giant shark tank and stand under its vast 180 degree tunnel. Watch as these magnificent masters of the sea, some of them up to eight feet in length, patrol their watery domain.
